Connect with us through our What’s App Chat and join us at our in-person “Gatherings” throughout the year. Being a Chesapeake Breastie means you will not walk through treatment and survivorship alone. There are so many changes to our physical and mental condition during and after treatment. Sometimes you need a referral or to ask a quick question, or maybe you want to share something that really is helping… post it on the What’s App Chat!

Also key to our group’s unique support of one another are our in-person “Gatherings”. We have experienced that in every stage of the survivorship journey, there is a unique encouragement found in face-to-face connection. From a casual collection of friends on the back porch to more structured events like Nourish to Flourish, we grow deeper in our friendships by sharing stories, questions, scars, and laughs.

Breasties Chat

Sometimes you just want to ask, “hey, has anyone else experienced ____?” The What’s App Chat is a safe place to ask anything. Confidentiality is a core value and choosing to become a member means you will protect the privacy of all Chesapeake Breasties by not sharing anyone’s story but your own. What’s App is an encrypted platform and equipped to grow with our group. Your privacy and security are very important to us.

Pay it Forward Closet

Also found on What’s App is our “Pay It Forward Closet” which is a virtual way to share items you no longer need in your breast cancer recovery (think compression garments, post surgical bras, reclining chairs, button up shirts, seatbelt pillows, etc…). Post or ask for what you need and once you have a match, you will coordinate pickup or drop-off of your resources by Direct Message. Sharing is caring!

In our experience as Chesapeake Breasties, being together in person AND  being active are essential parts of healing our bodies, minds, and souls in survivorship. Our goal with Chesapeake Breasties Events Calendar is to post local events in the area that support  cancer recovery. We will also keep the calendar updated with our own Gatherings!

Pre-registration required for all events. Schedule may vary—check Chesapeake Breasties, Annapolis Dragon Boat Club and Wellness House monthly calendar for accuracy and registration.

Survivor Spotlight

Diane Fantone

Diagnosed just before the holidays in 2022, Diane remembers feeling overwhelmed and alone-until she found women with similar scars and shared strength. A Johnson & Wales-trained chef who believes food is a language, Diane now uses nourishment and connection as tools for healing.

For Diane Fantone, food has never just been about flavor — it has been about connection, culture, and care.
